Current Office of General Services employee with permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Plant Utilities Engineer 3 and interested in reassignment; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Plant Utilities Engineer 3.

?Overall supervision of the operation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of power plant equipment; high voltage electrical distribution systems; steam, chilled water, and domestic water distribution systems; heating ventilating & air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and auxiliaries.
?Insure that all safety guidelines are followed.
?Make recommendations on major overhauls and replacement of equipment and identify, recommend, and develop energy conservation projects.
?Enforce comprehensive use of the Central Maintenance Management Software System (CMMS).
?Prepare and review estimates and make recommendations on projects.
?Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New York State motor vehicle operator?s license.
?Asbestos Supervisor certification required within 90 days of appointment as well as compliance with all related PESH/OSHA regulations.
?Utilities Management is a 24/7 operation; thus night, weekend, and holiday work is required based on shift assignment and operational need.
